Mexican wine for importers

Our catalog lists 263 Mexican wines from 39 producers and importers' portfolios, many from Baja California. Mexican wine is distinctive — and because many wineries are small, buying it well takes some planning.

Buy by producer and vintage

Each wine in the catalog is listed with its producer and, where published, vintage. Mexican wineries frequently release small lots, and the next vintage can differ in blend and style. Before quoting we confirm the vintage currently available, the quantity remaining and whether a substitution would be acceptable to you. We will not substitute a vintage without your written agreement.

Plan for small production runs

  • Combine several producers on one consolidated shipment when single-winery volumes are small.
  • Agree allocation early for high-demand releases.
  • Ask for technical sheets (grape varieties, alcohol, residual sugar) to support your listings and label approval.

Protect the wine in transit

Heat damage is the most common problem in wine logistics. For long ocean routes or summer departures, compare a refrigerated container or thermal liners with standard dry freight. Specify whether cases travel upright or on their side, and ensure pallets are wrapped and corner-protected.

Labels and documents

Most markets require an alcohol statement, allergen declaration (sulphites), importer details and sometimes label pre-approval — for example TTB label approval (opens in a new tab) in the United States. Wine exporters must be registered in the relevant sector of Mexico's Padrón de Exportadores Sectorial, and a certificate of origin supports preferential duty where an agreement applies. Some markets also ask for a laboratory analysis.
