About Loco Beverages
Loco Beverages is a wholesale and export business for Mexican beverages, with an office in Mexico City. This page explains our positioning, how we work and where our products come from — and is clear about what is not yet published.
Our positioning
We aim to be a practical bridge between Mexican beverage producers and trade buyers abroad: importers, wholesalers, retailers, hospitality groups and international buyers who need accurate specifications and dependable documentation rather than a glossy brochure.
The catalog on this site is built from a research workbook of 2,211 product listings compiled on 6 November 2026. It records how Mexican origin was evidenced for each listing, and it leaves blank anything the sources did not publish. We have kept that discipline throughout the site.
How we work
Evidence before claims
We show how origin was evidenced and confirm it for the exact lot before quoting.
Documentation first
Certificates, invoices and label versions are agreed before goods move.
Plain, bilingual communication
Quotations and correspondence in English or Spanish, with uncertainties stated openly.
Respect for brand rights
Where a brand has an exclusive importer in your market, we tell you instead of working around it.

Our office is in Mexico City; the products in our catalog come from producers across Mexico. Overall export rankings and beverage-export relevance point to different places, so we look at them separately.
Overall export volume points north
INEGI's state export statistics show that Chihuahua led Mexico's merchandise exports in the fourth quarter of 2025 with 19.9% of the total, followed by Jalisco (12.1%) and Coahuila, Nuevo León and Baja California (9.7% each) (INEGI, ETEF, 31 March 2026 (opens in a new tab)). Jalisco's statistics institute puts the state at 8.7% of national exports for 2025 as a whole (IIEG Jalisco (opens in a new tab)). These rankings are driven mainly by electronics and automotive manufacturing — not by beverages — so they say little about where beverages come from.
For this catalog, beverage sourcing centres on Jalisco
- The catalog is agave-led. Tequila accounts for 1,123 of the 2,211 listings in our workbook, and agave spirits together for roughly two-thirds.
- Tequila is anchored in Jalisco. The tequila denomination of origin covers all of Jalisco plus specific municipalities in Guanajuato, Michoacán, Nayarit and Tamaulipas, and the Consejo Regulador del Tequila (opens in a new tab) is based in the Guadalajara area. In the CRT register included in our research, 2,529 of 2,775 entries (91%) list Jalisco addresses.
- Tequila is a major export. CRT figures reported in 2026 put 2025 tequila exports at roughly 406–408 million litres, mostly to the United States (Expansión (opens in a new tab); CRT statistics (opens in a new tab)).
- Raicilla is also from Jalisco. Its denomination of origin covers 16 Jalisco municipalities and one in Nayarit (Diario Oficial, 28 June 2019 (opens in a new tab)).
- Port access. The Guadalajara area, home to much of the tequila industry, connects by road to Manzanillo in neighbouring Colima, Mexico's busiest container port on the Pacific (ASIPONA Manzanillo (opens in a new tab)).
Beyond Jalisco
Mezcal and most destilados in our catalog come from Oaxaca, Guerrero, Puebla and Michoacán. Large-scale brewing is concentrated elsewhere: in 2019, 56.2% of Mexican beer production came from Zacatecas, Coahuila, Nuevo León and Sonora (IGAPE market report, citing Mexican industry data (opens in a new tab)), even though Mexico as a whole is the world's leading beer exporter by value (OEC (opens in a new tab)). Most of our wines come from Baja California. That is why we source nationwide rather than from a single region.
